Cruising the Chilean Fjords (Part II). Brujo Glacier.

This morning we awake in the Chilean Fjords of Patagonia on our way to Brujo Glacier. It is one of the few glaciers in the world that is actually advancing.

While the lines are faint, you can see the pencil marks of the captains intended path from the maps in the expedition room where the scientists hang out to chart safe routes through the Fjords.

We can’t yet see the glacier but the ice field showing up tells us we are near.

As we pass this mini iceberg I feel as though Snoopy’s good friend Woodstock is with me.

Today’s Moment of Zen.

Tomorrow the Magellan Strait. Punto Arenas. And a trek to see the Magellanic Penguins.
